The Society is currently audited by a private Auditor (MossBee Business Services (Pty) Ltd. Since its inception it was auditedd by the Department Of Co-operatives in the Ministry of Investment Trade and Industry.
According to section 46(1) of the Society's Act of 2013, it is stated that 'the society should be audited at least once every year by Authourised Auditors'.
The ministry is working together with the society to make sure that these reports are finalised and meet the required standards. The Audit report is presented to the society's memebers during the Annual General Meeting (AGM). These report is presented to show how the Elected Committee has been handling finances of the society for the previous year and other recommedations that may arise. These Audit Reports can be ACCEPTED OR REJECTED by members depending on how satisfied they are with the explanations given to them.
These reports are very vital as they show the financial position of the Society from time to time. They also help the Members, Elected committee and Staff to make informed decisions regarding the future of the Society, Investments, products development and enhancements.
